Invisalign® Provider

Invisalign says it is the most advanced clear aligner in the world. Dr. Stange has been a certified Invisalign doctor since 2002. There have been many competitors as of late however we still offer Invisalign. In our opinion it is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. Invisalign has helped us help countless patients correct many dental problems. From simple crowding to correcting patients who are in pain due to malocclusion Invisalign provides the most up to date technology. Their system has improved over time. Their software is unparalleled. Even our scanner the iTero Element 5D is state of the art. It can not only scan down to 25 microns, but detect cavities and cracks to help supplement our early detection efforts.

Malocclusion is not just children with “buck” teeth or crooked teeth. In our detailed bi-yearly evaluation of the mouth our scans detect tooth tooth contacts causing premature wear, abfractions (and recession) and gives us insight into grinding habits and airway problems.

We have patients who part of their treatment for sleep apnea has begun with Invisalign. A well formed arch is the foundation of tongue position and proper sleep. Without proper childhood development a cascade of preventable problems stem from mouth breathing. Whole books have been written about the tongue and its relationship to the airway. Subsequently tooth position influences jaw position and without a proper bite the teeth will never support the jawbones or musculature properly. In-Fact Neuromuscular dentistry teaches us that muscles out of sync with tooth and bone will influence pain, headache and joint pain. We have seen simple yet correct “tooth” movements mediated via Invisalign improve Migraine headaches, neck muscle pain, jaw (TMJ / TMD) pain and facial pains.

When used correctly and prescribed correctly Invisalign can be a very effective and yet camouflaged instrument of improvement.

Our office is proud to be a certified provider of Invisalign

THE INVISALIGN TREATMENT PROCESS

YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION

At your initial consultation, we will discuss your orthodontic needs and evaluate whether Invisalign treatment is right for you.

YOUR CUSTOM TREATMENT PLAN

We will use a scanner such as the iTero® 5D digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.

YOUR INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNERS

Your custom-made aligners will be made of Invisalign’s proprietary SmartTrack® material. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening.

Wear your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, and take them out only to eat, brush, and floss.

YOUR PROGRESS

As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. You begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule checkups every six weeks or so.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR NEW SMILE

When your treatment is complete, ask us about a Vivera® retainer. Vivera retainers are custom-made using the same state-of-the-art technology as Invisalign clear aligners.

To learn more about the Invisalign system and all your orthodontic treatment options, please feel free to schedule an appointment at our office. We look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a smile that’s made to move!
